# Introduction to Proximity

Proximity is the newest addition to Grid Builder. Since Grid Builder gives you the freedom of creating all kinds of grids with your assets, proximity is the next logical step.

**Important Notice:** Proximity only works with grids you created with Grid Builder.

### Usage

As with everything else within Grid Builder, we built Proximity as easy to understand as Grid Builder itself while giving you all the freedom and possibilities you need. it consists of two main mechanics:

**Proximity Groups**\
**Effectors**

To use Proximity, simply follow these overal steps:

### Switch to Proximity Tab

Simply go into the second tab called "Proximity"

### Choose your grid

Choose one of your created grids within the "Target Grid" dropdown

### Add Proximity Group

Click the button "+ Add Proximity Group"

### Configure

Within the created Proximity pseudo effect on the control Null, adjust the settings to your liking
